In the early 1950’s an awesome Tv show aired and it was called Space Patrol!!!! It was an exciting sci-fi show full of campy and adolescent space adventures that took place in a beautiful retro styled rocket ship!!! Ralston Purina was a big sponsor of the show and to advertise the show the Ralston group made traveling rocket ships for kids of all ages to walk thru when it would tour the Country side. One day the ultimate contest took place and the grand prize was to win one of these traveling rockets for your own club house!!! Young Ricky Walker won this MAJOR AWARD and as far as I am concerned he was the luckiest kid in the world,,, In later years Ricky was tracked down to be interviewed to share his big win as a child he declined the offer,,,,,,,,, WHAT!!!! You won the greatest prize a kid could want and you don’t still own it or want to talk about it!!! Well to me that says the wrong kid won,, Just for that I sure hope all the bullies had a-go with you everyday on the way home from school,, HAAAA!!!
